When thinking about getting guinea pigs there are a lot of factors to consider. There is a lot of conflicting information online, below are the things I have found useful and interesting and things that I feel are important to know when getting guinea pigs or even if you already have them!

Boars and sows are different in a lot of ways. It is important to remember that every guinea pig is different and each have their own personalities. There is always a possibility of a pair or group falling out, however this is small. Please see my companionship section.

Fresh water, Hay - 80% of diet, fresh veg - 1 cup per piggie, pellets - 2tbsp per piggie, dried forage sprinkled in hay. Please see the diet section for further information.

Guinea pigs are very social animals and are a lot happier with a friend or two! They can e very territorial and temperamental to bond, this document will hopefully make things a lot easier for you :)
